An Idaho Reader, Refugee From California, Says It’s Impossible To Calculate How Much Aliens Pay In Taxes Since No One Knows How Many Are Here; etc.
From:
Peter Brittain (e-mail
him)
Re: Edwin S. Rubenstein’s Column:
Schwarzenegger In Denial On Illegal Alien Costs
Can anyone tell me how the statisticians came up with
the figures on
taxes paid by illegal aliens?
How can the so-called experts arrive at a number when
no one knows for sure
how many aliens are here, where they are, who they
are, what they are doing or where they may be working?
I’m sure that
any estimate for taxes paid by illegals is too high.
An example: my wife had a shop in
Laguna Beach, California about 19 years ago. She
closed it before we moved to Idaho.
Her shop was next to a
Western Union outlet. The manager told my wife that
told her that long ago that he typically wired
$30,000 a month to Mexico.
The illegal alien community in Laguna Beach was doing
business
in cash only...$5 or $6 dollars hourly and
hamburgesas for lunch thrown into the deal.
How much of that money do you think had taxes paid on
it? Since
Laguna Beach is an
illegal alien sanctuary, and the place is crawling
with them now, I suspect most of the money sent to
Mexico today is untaxed.
To highlight to my liberal friends how bad illegal
alien fraud is, I bought a
matricula consular card for $40 at
MacArthur Park in Los Angeles.
It’s as phony as a $3 bill but it gets me $500 credit
at the
Bank of America, no questions asked.
And I don't even look Mexican!

Brittain explaining why he left California is

A California Reader Says Illegal Immigration Costs That Don’t Include Anchor Babies Are “Meaningless”
From:
Steve
Smith:
(e-mail
him)
Nobody can legitimately
tabulate the cost of illegal immigration without
including the costs of their
anchor baby children. Calculations without that
factor are meaningless.
Rather than arguing about the
costs of illegal immigration, shouldn’t Americans be
demanding an immigrant enumeration that would include
environmental, economic, cultural and political
costs of all immigrants—legal
and illegal—and the costs of
their children?
We’ve had more than
forty years of massive immigration with virtually no
thought or accounting as to its costs and no protection
to the citizens from the immigrant invasion.
The government studies the
costs of everything
from soup to nuts; why is immigration exempt? Why
is an immigration enumeration prohibited? Why can’t our
government even count the number of illegal aliens in
the country?
Why isn’t there a law
requiring unauthorized aliens to
register with the federal government or be subject
to immediate
deportation with no recourse?
If immigration is
economically good for America, as its supporters claim,
let them prove it. Show us an
immigration accounting and point to the benefits.
If the
true costs of immigration were ever accurately
tabulated, Americans would demand an immediate overhaul
and curtailing of our current immigration policies, the
deportation of millions of illegal immigrants and a
review of all past immigrant applications and a slew of
massive new taxes on the
profiteers of immigration.

A Reader Who Lived In Mexico Calls Illegal Immigrants In The U.S. “Dangerous”
From: Laura
Gonzales (e-mail
her)
Re: Brenda Walker’s Column:
Diversity Is Strength! It’s Also…Drunk Driving!
I lived in Mexico for
eight years when I was married to (now divorced from) a
Mexican professional
baseball player. I know all about Mexican men and
their attitudes toward
drinking and driving.
I have warned my
American friends about how dangerous these illegal
immigrants are because of the cultural beliefs and
personal habits they bring with them.
Not only do many
Mexicans have a total disregard for rule of law, but
they also have a skewed,
machismo view of women and, a dismissive attitude
toward on
drinking and driving.
My ex- and his friends believed that they were, as
they liked to put it, better drivers when drunk because
they knew they were drunk and so would be more cautious
At the games that lasted late into the night, there
was a fellow baseball player's wife (both Mexicans) that
would, around the 6th inning fill her two-year-old son's
bottle with
beer!
I asked her why she was giving her small son beer and
if she didn't worry that that was bad for him. (Of
course,
here in the States it would have been branded as
child abuse). The mother said that there was nothing
wrong with beer and it helped to relax her boy and get
him to sleep. She did this out in the open and no-one
said a thing.
This isn't an isolated case. Many times at family
parties the adults would laugh when a child would pick
up a bottle of
"papi's" beer and drink it.
Thanks to Walker for her columns and
blogs. I worry that not enough Americans realize the
dangerous problems illegal immigration brings with it.
Brenda Walker
comments:
I’m old enough to remember when
driving drunk
was not socially condemned in this country. But when
MADD
mounted an effective
campaign to educate the public about the terrible cost
in human life on the highways, Americans rapidly changed
their attitude and behavior.
But by welcoming so many
millions of Mexicans, we have
turned back the clock on progress
in many areas of society. It’s so frustrating.
Of course, it’s far
worse than just frustrating for the people who lose
family members to drunk-driving foreigners who don’t
give a rat’s ass about responsibility.

An Ohio Reader Suggests VDARE.COM Launch A “Refugee Of The Year” Award
From:
Jason Wales (e-mail
him)
Here’s an idea for VDARE.COM.
Each month you can select the most egregious criminal
behavior by a refugee living in the U.S.
At the end of the year, readers can vote for the winner.
An award would be mailed to the
most prominent Treason Lobby member who has
vigorously
supported the resettlement of refugees in America.
For April, I nominate 21-yea-old Esar Met—in the U.S. a
mere month— who killed seven-year-old
Hser Nay Moo in Salt Lake. Met had only been in the
country for 30 days. Met is one of 500
refugees from Myanmar living in Utah.
Police documents reveal that Moo was beaten and
raped before being strangled to death. According to the
Associated Press
story, the police refuse to make details about the
killing public so you can only imagine.[Man
Admits Causing Death Of 7-Year-Old Immigrant Who
Disappeared from Home,
By Ace Stryker,
Associated Press,
April 2, 2008]
One gets the impression from the
headline on Stryker's article that a “xenophobic
nativist”—as we are so frequently called—killed an
immigrant.
But as a schooled
VDARE.COM follower, I've learned to put on my
liberal filter and read between the lines.
The liberal’s mantra: Bring us your poor, your tired and
your child murdering socio-paths.
Wales is a mental health
counselor.
Joe Guzzardi
suggests a more honest
headline: “Refugee Murders 7-Year-Old Girl; Hides Her
Body in His Apartment.”
